What I learned from being assaulted // Ep. #8
Content trigger warning: Violence, strong language
Three years ago, I went for a hike that changed my life and how I view the world. I'm sharing my story because there are lessons I learned that I want to gift to you (without you having to suffer the same pain).
My aim is to give you an awareness of how easy it is to be attacked, and, how the subconscious mind works to keep you safe. I hope to give you a resource or two that'll support you and those you love so that you can stay present and aware while you move through the world.
What you'll learn from this episode:
- Why The Winchell Trail is my favorite place to hike.
- The circumstances leading up to me being assaulted.
- The behavior my attacker displayed in order to disarm me.
- How my subconscious mind and intuition rang alarm bells I consciously chose not to listen to.
- What I deeply struggle with to this day three years later.
- The lessons this experience gifted me with that I hope you'll walk away with.
- The incredible magic that happened when I went back to my beautiful tree a year later.
- How I protect myself when I go walking now.
- The ONE book I recommend every woman reads.
